I think this question is fine. This is a question that primarily: Points to an in-game thing Assumes it's some sort of reference, nod, in-joke or easter egg Asks what that thing is, or what the reference/in-joke is I personally call this an 'Easter Egg' question, and we have plenty of examples of this type of thing being perfectly on topic as you've found....

The question was closed incorrectly because of a slightly inaccurate title and because it asks "Why?". Most likely, the close voters read the question as "Why did the developer decide to give the scythe a cooldown?", when it is actually "Why does using a special ability show a cooldown bar over the scythe, which does not have a special ability? Is there ...

The question was closed because, in it's original form, it was clearly just asking for videos of Doom speedruns: Is there a video on the internet of someone doing a DOOM 2 speedrun on Nightmare difficulty with 100% monster kill ratio? I saw it on Ultra-violence or saw Nightmare with 100% secrets or just simple speedrun on Nightmare difficulty. The user ...

It's not the first time a user has tried to start a weird rumour about a game, most commonly Minecraft. These are not actually questions and should be closed as off-topic, with a custom reason explaining that we only accept real questions about problems relating to gaming.

As a new user, I appreciate the effort you made in order to make this question on-topic by coming to the meta. It shows effort on your part to be a part of our community! With that said, we are Arqade, Stack Overflow is another Stack Exchange network that works with programming. While it is the biggest and I've often called Stack Exchange, Stack Overflow on ...

It appears that your question has been re-opened, which it deserves to be. Something to note: the game-identification tag is a pretty touchy topic in this community, which is why I believe it was closed. Questions using the game-identification tag typically require some sort of artifact from the game you want to identify, and I think someone didn't consider ...

Yes, definitely. Most locks should be temporary, especially in the case of edit wars. I have removed the lock, hopefully the question won't have to be locked again. As a side note, a flag on the question would've been fine too, rather than a meta post. (unless locked posts can't be flagged, but I'm not aware of that being the case)

There are several threads here on Meta that address this close reason. Game Design questions are questions that can only be answered with 'because the developers designed it that way'. This means that we don't have knowledge about the reasoning behind these choices. As Wrigglenite mentions in his answer to the question you linked, "there is no gameplay ...

Late answer but most of these 'Should I evolve this Pokemon', 'Which Pokemon should I evolve' or 'Evolve vs power up' questions should be marked as a duplicate of the more general How does evolving relate to CP? and/or Does it make a difference to CP if you feed candies before or after evolving?, and indeed, a lot of them are. If you find any more, be ...

I agree overall with FoxMcCloud's answer but I wanted to expand on the closure reason as I see it. I think the "primarily opinion-based" close reason comes from phrasing the question in terms of how "good" the graphics are. That's a fairly subjective measure that can mean different things to different people, and it's not simple to distill it down to ...
