Elections are only held if moderators either resign or disappear for 6 months. Since this has not happened on Gaming, there is no need for a new election.

'Go' is a board game not a video game and therefore generic 'Go' strategy and gameplay questions are off-topic here. If you are looking for questions about the rules & strategies for Go, our sister site Board and Card Games handles this. If your question is specifically about a video game rendition of Go i.e. features specific to that game version, you ...

You can use the site switcher on the top-right of the page to switch between sites: Alternatively, the help button has a link as well:

Please don't create a new tag; the case you're describing is exactly the use case for the faq tag. "FAQ" is something of a misnomer (which is part of why the official SE FAQ was renamed to "help"), but it IS meant to be used for essential knowledge that new users need to be a successful contributor to this site. You should add the faq tag to any posts you ...

You just ask them here. Otherwise we would run into a turtles all the way down sort of never ending metametametameta site situation.

I think the meta's About page summarizes it pretty well; also take a look at meta's FAQ. In short, Arqade is a site for asking and answering questions about video games, and Meta Arqade is a site for asking and answering questions about the Arqade site.

Your blue circles are in the wrong place. You have circled the total reviews from all users. I have drawn red circles around the values you should be considering.

What meta is, and how it works is all explained in the Help Center. This site is the meta site of Arqade. It has its own separate questions, but your rep here is your rep on Arqade. You do not gain or lose rep for votes here. From the Help Center article: Votes on meta do not affect your reputation; your meta reputation is the same as your reputation on ...

This is now fixed on dev. will be live after the next prod build (within 24hrs).

I think we can call this status-completed (although status-norepro would also work), as tags have been normalized across the network, such that we no longer have tags that look like the bullets in the question's screenshot. This happened as part of the Stack Exchange Network-wide standardised site design rollout: ...there are several things that will ...

Arqade no longer has tags that look like the bullets in the question's screenshot, and the red/mod tags style has been tweaked so the border around the tags is less thick and bold, eg: status-completed This happened as part of the Stack Exchange Network-wide standardised site design rollout: ...there are several things that will now be standardized to ...

I changed the default close reason to This question does not appear to be about Arqade, within the scope defined in the help center.

I'm not sure of this myself (which is why I haven't posted here before), but StackExchange's page on meta might be useful. Note that the page is specifically for Meta Stack Exchange, but I believe that some of it is applicable here. I summarise the page here, to avoid this being a link only answer. Meta is for: asking questions about how the ...

Meta Questions with bug, feature-request or support (we could extend this to more request tags (such as tag-burnination-request), but primarily this is about the required tags) should, once handled, receive any of the mod-only status tags: status-completed status-deferred status-norepro status-bydesign status-declined status-review status-reproduced status-...

As Kalina correctly noted, one of the included CSS files, http://cdn.sstatic.net/gamingmeta/all.css?v=df27b9f4c1d2, has the following rule overriding the default moderator-tag CSS class colouring for visited tag links: .post-tag:visited { color: #666666 !important; } This needs to be added to the CSS file to fix the issue: .moderator-tag:visited { ...

When the subject becomes relevant in a discussion just bring the link to the table.

Adding to Ash's great answer: normally the meta tag is reserved for questions on meta which have to do with meta. If you have a question about meta, ask here and use the meta tag.

I mean, if things aren't black and white, then that's it — it's a gray area and you should decide what is right on your own. In your example — I disagree that "Is X a good strategy" is tout-court too opinion-based. It is however likely too broad to be answered properly — but "is X a good strategy to achieve Y" for example isn't. Maybe you can ask for the ...

If we're looking for consistency with the other tags, the mod tags have the background color of: #ffecec .post-tag.moderator-tag { color: #c2787a; background-color: #ffecec; } The ::before is where the issue lies: a.moderator-tag:before, span.moderator-tag:before { background-color: #ad150d; <-- this Red - should match above #ffecec; border-...

This site (Arqade Meta) is, what we call in SE network, a child-meta. You earn no reputation and the reputation here is the same as on Arqade. Your profile is mostly inherited from the main site as well, but all the activities in your profile are independent. Stack Overflow's Meta is different as it's also the meta for the whole network in addition to being ...
