I like to leave Gaming open on the front page and watch for new questions. Tonight, however, I wound up watching my reputation bar instead, as it was doing something odd.

Essentially, every time you get an upvote on one of your answers, your rep counter increases by 12 instead of 10.

Did some testing with Dennis on MSO, and not only is this bug no-repro on Stack Overflow, but the dropdown updates properly to boot!

When you refresh the page, your rep recalcs, and displays the proper amount again.

Are you using any SE-specific extensions or user scripts? – Dennis May 19 '12 at 2:35
  • @Dennis Nope. I'm pure vanilla (though I am a moderator on the site in question). – Raven Dreamer May 19 '12 at 2:37
  • No repro here. To narrow it down: Does this happen on other sites too or only on Gaming? Also, which browser are you using? – Dennis May 19 '12 at 2:43
  • I don't visit other sites enough to notice. Using Chrome, Version 19.0.1084.46 m – Raven Dreamer May 19 '12 at 2:45
  • Same version here. Let me know when you open a SO tab. I'll upvote you. – Dennis May 19 '12 at 2:47
  • @Dennis Shall we meet in meta's chat? That'll be easier to coordinate – Raven Dreamer May 19 '12 at 2:50
  • So, looks like it's local to gaming then. Flagging to move. – Raven Dreamer May 19 '12 at 2:56
  • Finally getting to the bug backlog...I cannot reproduce this. Keep in mind that negative events are not immediately reflected in real-time updates. – Nick Craver Nov 14 '12 at 17:16
