I would like to propose two more edits to the Screenshot of the Week widget:

  • Have the title of the image (highlighted in the image below) link back to the original answer in the thread, i.c.:

    Sample of a better Screenshot of the Week.

    <div class="s-sidebarwidget--item d-block ta-center">
      <b>
        [title]
      </b>
      …
    </div>

    <div class="s-sidebarwidget--item d-block ta-center">
      <b>
         <a href="https://gaming.meta.stackexchange.com/a/15861/136881">
            [title]
         </a>
      </b>
      …
    </div>

  • The other proposal can be found here.

    I hope the bold text in the code shows up for everybody - if not, feel free to edit it.

  • I'm an aspiring web developer. While your bold shows up correctly, it messes up the font so it's not code font anymore. Fixed. Jun 27, 2021 at 3:20

    nit -- instead of <b> should be <strong>. Unless its only purpose is to be bold in which case it should be a <p> tag or <span> with appropriate font-weight CSS. Not really relevant to the suggestion, though. Jun 27, 2021 at 4:39
  • @RoddyoftheFrozenPeas It's a direct copy/paste from the website's code, so it may be wise to bring up on Meta SE.

  • @ExpertCoder14 Thank you, but that was done purely for visual prominence.

    I figured, hence the nit. ;) Jun 27, 2021 at 16:12
  • Do these posts with the 'feature-request' tag actually get looked at by community moderators? Is there a way I can bring this to the fore again?
