Just a quick questions:

  1. Why can we not search just for questions or just for answers?
  2. Will this be a future option?

I think it may be useful for people, especially when they are looking for specific searches.

When searching, add the term "is:question" (or "is:answer") sans quotation marks, to search only for one of the other.

To save some time, use is:q, or is:a. – Frank Apr 16 '15 at 12:48
  • @Frank - :0 Wow I cannot thank you enough for that. If I had a dollar for every time I've searched <search term> [tag] is:question... – Robotnik Apr 16 '15 at 12:48
